Aluminum Cladding sheet with Polysurlyn Moisture Retardant Coating

Technical Specification

Below is the Technical Specificaiton for this project:

1.0 General: This specification covers the requirements for supply of Aluminum Sheet with Polysurlyn Moisture Retardant coating having total film thickness of 3 mils(76μm) for using it as cladding sheet or protective covering over thermal insulation.

2.0 Codes and Standards: The manufacturer, physical and chemical properties, dimensional tolerances, inspection and Testing of Aluminum sheets to be supplied under the specification shall confirm to the latest edition of IS737.

3.0Material Requirement

3.1 Form: The Aluminum sheets to be supplied with be in coil form.

3.2 The material shall be sound and free from harmful defects for the intended purpose.

3.3 Designation and Condition: The designation and the condition of the material shall be in line with IS737 Latest edition Grade 19000 H2 or ASTM B209 1060 temper H-14 and the Aluminum jacketing with Polysurlin moisture coating shall comply with ASTM C1729, Class A.

3.4 The width of the aluminum sheet shall be 900mm to 1500mm.

3.5 Thickness of the aluminum sheet shall be as per the enquiry.

4.0 Inspection and Testing:

4.1 All the test certificates shall be submitted in original for BHEL review and based on the satisfactory test results material dispatch clerance certificate will be issued.

5.0 Packing and Marking:

5.1 The material will have to be packed in polythene-line hessian and covered with metallic sheets and finally strapped with the metallic bands suitably. Material shall be packed in such a manner so as to prevent damage in ordinary handling & transport.

5.2 Each Package shall contain only one size of material.

5.3 Each package/coil will be suitably marked with a tag for identification.
